Jack White had no interest in watching celebrity handshakes turn into normalization after UFC 290—and the rocker named names.

Woopsies! Jack White is calling out Mark Wahlberg, Joe Rogan, Mel Gibson and Guy Fieri for cozying up to former President Donald Trump at UFC 290.
White posted a series of photographs to Instagram on Monday, July 10, 2023, showing the four celebrities separately greeting, speaking with or posing near Trump during the Las Vegas event.
The White Stripes rocker argued that publicly treating Trump with respect helped normalize his actions and political record. White made clear that his statement was not intended to open a back-and-forth conversation.

Trump attended the July 8 UFC event at T-Mobile Arena while making campaign appearances in Nevada. Wahlberg, Rogan, Gibson and Fieri were each photographed interacting with him during the night.
This was not White’s first public objection to Trump or the people providing him with a platform. In November 2022, the musician left Twitter after Elon Musk reinstated Trump’s account.
White has never built his public personality around quietly going along with the room, and he clearly was not about to start here. Whether everyone named wanted the attention or not, Jack White had already said what he came to say.
