George Michael’s 1988 Voice Comes Roaring Back Into the Room

It’s a very special Come Thru Vocals edition — and this time we are handing the whole thing to George Michael.
“Father Figure (Live in Paris, 1988)” has officially arrived, pulling George’s voice straight out of the Faith Tour and back into 2026 with absolutely no need for modern studio polish. Recorded during the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy stop on his first solo concert tour, the performance catches him in the middle of the era that turned Faith into a global phenomenon.
The live recording is available to stream now and runs just under six minutes. It is also an early taste of The Faith Tour, the forthcoming 18-track live album from George Michael Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment, due November 6, 2026.
And yes, this is exactly why Come Thru Vocals occasionally needs to break its own two-track rule. Some voices do not need a matchup. George Michael singing “Father Figure” live in 1988 is thee whole assignment.
