Friday Goes Full Disco, From Cerrone’s Archive to a Modern Remix

DERON and Cerrone revive “Je Suis Music,” while Disco Bambino, Nile Rodgers and Sophie Ellis-Bextor hand “Dancing Without You” over to Quarterhead for a sharper club turn. Both tracks look backward without getting stuck there: one refreshes a Cerrone disco staple, the other pulls classic disco pedigree into a sleek 2026 remix.
Two tracks. Two discoveries. One daily detour.
Come Thru Vocals is INYIM’s long-running daily music discovery series spotlighting voices and songs worth hearing. Selections may also move into Musique Dig’s Weekly Playlist and rotation on INYIM Radio.

DERON x Cerrone
Tune: “Je Suis Music”
WHY IT CAUGHT OUR EAR
Cerrone first released “Je Suis Music” in 1978, and this new DERON collaboration keeps the song’s unmistakable disco DNA while trimming it into a tight 2026 club cut. Released July 24 through Armada Music, the update feels less like a museum-piece revival than a reminder that Cerrone’s grooves were built to keep moving.

Disco Bambino, Nile Rodgers & Sophie Ellis-Bextor
Tune: “Dancing Without You (Quarterhead Remix)”
WHY IT CAUGHT OUR EAR
The original “Dancing Without You” arrived in June with Disco Bambino, Nile Rodgers and Sophie Ellis-Bextor already making a pretty undeniable disco coalition. Quarterhead’s July 31 remix pushes it further toward the club, tightening the track around Ellis-Bextor’s cool vocal presence and giving the collaboration a brisker, more modern dance-floor frame.
Come back for the next daily detour. Keep discovering in the Come Thru Vocals archive, hear the week’s six strongest finds in Musique Dig’s Weekly Playlist, and keep the music moving on INYIM Radio.
