“He’s family to me,” Bernthal said of Holland, explaining that he has known him since he was 17 and could not be prouder of the actor and man he has become. The two first worked together on the 2017 medieval drama Pilgrimage, filmed when Holland was still at the beginning of his rise.
The affection is obvious. Holland grins, Bernthal lights up and the entire interview briefly stops being about selling a movie. It becomes one of those rare premiere clips where two performers appear genuinely delighted simply to find each other in the chaos.
Now they are reunited inside Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, with Holland portraying Telemachus in the filmmaker’s large-scale adaptation of Homer’s epic. The production brings them back together nearly a decade after Pilgrimage, only this time on one of the most enormous cinematic stages imaginable.

Press-tour clips are usually polished within an inch of their lives, which is why this one lands. Holland arrives unannounced, Bernthal drops the promotional rhythm and a decade of history rushes into the frame. No elaborate setup needed—just two co-stars being very fond of each other in public.
