The book-to-screen rom-com has entered the chemistry lab
We tested it. The results are in. The chemistry is there. Prime Video has dropped the first teaser for The Love Hypothesis, the upcoming romantic comedy adapted from Ali Hazelwood’s bestselling novel, and the BookTok-to-streaming pipeline is officially running at full temperature.
The film stars Lili Reinhart as Olive, a Ph.D. candidate trying to keep her academic future together while accidentally launching the kind of fake-relationship experiment romance readers know can only get deliciously complicated. Opposite her is Tom Bateman as Adam Carlsen, the intimidating professor who becomes part of Olive’s very public, very inconvenient hypothesis.
The Love Hypothesis is set to stream globally on Prime Video on September 23, 2026.
