To present its Spring/Summer 2021 collection, Qasimi unveiled a fashion film titled “We The People”. The new designs take inspiration from Al Sadu, the weaving tradition of geometric patterns and symbols, hand-woven by the Bedouin people.
SS21 also draws its inspiration from Jamaican-born artist Nari Ward whose large-scale sculptures and installations often comment on issues such as race and diasporic identity in American culture.
This is Hoor Al-Qasimi’s first collection as the newly appointed creative director.
