Loro Piana turns quiet luxury into a wardrobe built for motion

Loro Piana unveils its Spring/Summer 2027 menswear collection with a wardrobe that keeps the house’s famously restrained luxury intact while giving all that cashmere, linen, silk and soft tailoring somewhere to actually go.

Titled “Solutions For,” the season is built around dressing for real situations rather than simply arranging looks by category. City days, travel, golf, changing spring weather, beach hours and warm evenings each get their own answer, with the house treating fabric, cut and function as part of the same conversation.

The familiar Loro Piana signatures are all here — camel blazers, balmacaan coats, trench coats, safari-style field jackets and beautifully softened tailoring — but the collection relaxes them into combinations that feel less precious. Blazers land with chinos, coats meet denim, summer peacoats loosen up with wider trousers, and knitwear shifts easily between polished and casual.

As the season moves toward summer, the layers lighten up. Bermuda shorts, sahariennes, guayabera-style jackets, printed shirts and drawstring linen trousers take over, while the suits become progressively more unstructured. Evening doesn’t suddenly turn stiff either: cardigan jackets, tuxedo shirt jackets and looser tuxedos keep the formality easy.

There is also more technical thinking hiding beneath the calm surface than the neutral palette initially lets on. Vogue noted natural-fiber experimentation including Storm System-treated silk and banana fiber worked into knitwear, while the broader collection keeps returning to pieces designed to move between weather, setting and occasion without looking overtly “performance.”

That may be the smartest thing about the lookbook. Loro Piana isn’t trying to make menswear louder for Spring/Summer 2027. Instead, it makes the case that luxury can earn its place by being useful — beautifully cut, tactile, flexible and ready to leave the dressing room.
