Tattooed Angels, Low-Slung Denim and Sacred Heat: Dsquared2 Goes There

Legacy fashion brand Dsquared2 unleashed its Spring/Summer 2027 lookbook, and Dean and Dan Caten are once again happiest where polish and provocation collide. The season moves through candlelight, neon, tattooed angels and forbidden desires — all while keeping that unmistakable Dsquared2 swagger firmly intact.
The Catens pull from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, rap culture and the sacred imagery of Italian devotion, then throw those references into a menswear wardrobe that refuses to behave. Italian rapper Promessa carries the attitude in the collection imagery: hard-edged on the surface, but deliberately more exposed underneath.

Tailoring Comes Apart While Denim Gets Holier Than Thou
Traditional tailoring gets pulled apart on purpose. Double-breasted suits loosen up, raw-cut shorts expose their linings, and inner waistbands migrate to the outside of trousers. Even the hidden construction of blazers becomes decoration, turning the stuff usually kept inside into part of the show.

Then there is the denim — distressed, ripped, faded and reassembled. Mesh inserts interrupt straight-leg jeans, oversized shapes get patched and beaten up, and cherubs surface across the season’s Angel jeans. Crosses, crystals, medallions and rosaries push the devotional references even further, sometimes against little more than bare skin and low-slung trousers.
The collection does not stay stuck in solemn mode. A tropical floral print brings in acid lime, hot pink, sacred hearts and old-school tattoo graphics, adding an ’80s-pop jolt to silk shirts, trousers and bombers. Oversized buckle belts, leather Creepers and embellished boots finish the whole thing with the kind of excessive punctuation Dsquared2 has never exactly been shy about.
That contradiction is the point: tough and tender, sacred and profane, tailored and half-undone. Dsquared2 Spring/Summer 2027 does not ask the menswear to pick a side. It lets all of it show at once.
The full supplied image set continues the same fever-dream language across tailoring, denim, devotional details and after-dark color.
