Dig Out Ferragamo’s Spring 2027 Uniforms, Leather and Long Lines

Dig out Ferragamo’s Spring-Summer 2027 runway collection. By Maximilian Davis.
This season, Davis takes the Ferragamo man into a wardrobe shaped by 1940s uniforms and workwear — but there is nothing costume about it. High waists, long coats, belted tailoring, wide trousers and utility pockets are stretched into a sleek, grounded menswear proposition.

Maximilian Davis Turns Utility Into Something Sharper
The palette stays close to the earth: tobacco, olive, khaki and brown, deepened by leather, glossy rubber and crocodile textures. Lighter pieces — pleated linen trousers, sheer suiting and translucent layers — keep all that weight from becoming too heavy-handed.

Davis’s references go deeper than uniform dressing alone. Vogue traced the wider collection back to Ferragamo’s 1947 Invisible Sandal, which led Davis toward Lee Miller, Man Ray and the visual language of 1930s and ’40s photography. On the menswear side, those ideas land less as literal history and more as proportion: defined waists, long draped jackets and trousers cut full enough to nearly swallow the shoes.
And those shoes still get their moment. Double monk straps and embroidered-toe styles peek out from beneath the extra-long trouser break — sometimes barely. It is Ferragamo, after all. The footwear was never going to be an afterthought.
