Madrid Is Getting a Full Shakira World, Not Just Twelve Shows

Shakira is coming for Madrid — and she is bringing some beautiful luggage along with her. As the Colombian superstar prepares to launch her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran European residency, the surrounding program is filling out with names including Nathy Peluso, Amaia, Guitarricadelafuente, Lia Kali, Aria Vega, Gale, Louta, Maro, Santos Bravos and Yerai Cortés, alongside emerging artists including Izatkm, Ángeles Toledano, J Noa, Nico and Yapi.
The residency begins September 18, 2026 and runs across four consecutive weekends through October 11, with twelve Shakira concerts scheduled at the temporary Estadio Shakira at Iberdrola Music in Madrid. The dates are September 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27, followed by October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11.

Shakira Takes Over Madrid
Twelve nights, four weekends and a wider Latin cultural program turn Shakira’s European residency into much more than a standard tour stop.

But the interesting part is that this is being built as more than twelve nights of Shakira walking onstage, doing thee thing and disappearing. Around the concerts, Madrid is getting a larger cultural program centered on Latin music, food, literature and creative projects, extending the residency beyond the main show itself.
Nathy Peluso, Amaia and More Join the Wider Residency Program
The guest lineup gives that wider idea some real weight. Nathy Peluso alone makes the announcement worth paying attention to, but pairing her with artists such as Amaia, Guitarricadelafuente, Lia Kali and Gale turns the surrounding residency programming into its own draw rather than background entertainment.
One important distinction: these artists have been announced as participants in the broader Madrid residency experience and cultural program. That does not automatically mean every name is appearing as a duet partner or special guest during Shakira’s main concert set. The project is bigger than that, with programming spread across the residency environment itself.
The scale is appropriately Shakira-sized. Madrid tourism officials describe the residency as a limited twelve-night European run and say the temporary stadium is designed to hold more than 50,000 people per night. The city is also preparing for major attendance around the dates, with special transportation measures planned for the event.
It also marks Shakira’s return to Spain after the El Dorado World Tour stopped in Madrid in 2018. This time, instead of simply adding another arena date to a routing schedule, she is planting the tour in one city for four weekends and letting an entire cultural ecosystem grow around it.
So yes, Madrid gets Shakira. But it is also getting Nathy, Amaia, Guitarricadelafuente and a long list of Spanish and Latin American voices orbiting the residency. That sounds a lot more fun than merely showing up, buying a T-shirt and going home.
