Shakira

Shakira is a Colombian singer-songwriter, producer, dancer, and musician from Barranquilla whose career bridges Latin pop, rock, dance music, and Arabic-inflected sounds. After early Spanish-language releases, she broke internationally with Pies Descalzos (1995), Dónde Están los Ladrones? (1998), and the English-language crossover Laundry Service (2001). Her catalog includes “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” “She Wolf,” and collaborations with Wyclef Jean, Beyoncé, Maluma, KAROL G, and Bizarrap. In 2024, she released Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, a Spanish-led album that won the 2025 GRAMMY for Best Latin Pop Album. Shakira remains active in recording and touring, with official releases continuing in 2026.
