One Year Later, This Snack Collision Gets Its Victory Lap

Some pairings are not invented. They are discovered—and apparently cast with Lindsay Lohan, Amy Sedaris and Patricia Arquette when it is time to celebrate their first anniversary.
The Reese’s Oreo Cup is marking one year since Reese’s and Oreo finally answered years of fan requests by smashing two giant snack identities together. The new campaign turns that milestone into a slightly surreal victory lap, with Lohan and Sedaris starring while Arquette steps behind the camera as director.

The cup itself combines milk chocolate and white creme peanut butter cups with Oreo cookie crumbs. It launched nationwide in September 2025 as a permanent addition to the Reese’s lineup, while the companion Oreo Reese’s Cookie delivered the collaboration from the other direction.
What began as years of fans twisting, dipping, stacking and posting their own homemade combinations quickly became a commercial monster. The collaboration exceeded its full-year sales projection within two months, while the Reese’s Oreo Cup became the top candy innovation of 2025 and generated a reported $97 million in retail sales within five months.

“I love that I’m able to be a part of such a moment with Reese’s Oreo,” Lohan said. “Working on this campaign has been such a fun experience, and it’s been amazing to see fans embrace this collaboration. Getting to share this moment and work with Amy and Patricia makes it even more special.”
The casting gives the campaign exactly the off-center energy it needs. Lohan brings polished star power, Sedaris can make nearly any ordinary object feel suspicious, and Arquette guiding the whole thing means this is not merely a candy commercial—it is a very specific collision of personalities celebrating a snack collision.
One cup, two legacy brands and a full year of proof that this was not simply a stunt. Not a collab. A destiny fulfilled.
