Banana Pudding goes straight for dessert nostalgia with banana- and vanilla-pudding-flavored creme sandwiched between vanilla wafers. Deep Fried takes its cue from the fairground classic, combining fried-dough flavor with a dark chocolate creme layer.
And then there is Chicken & Waffles. Yes, Oreo really went there. The sweet-and-savory cookie uses waffle-textured wafers with a layered creme built around fried chicken and maple syrup flavors. It is easily the wild card of the bunch.
All three went up for presale August 17 and are scheduled to hit retailers nationwide beginning August 24 while supplies last.
Fans can vote for their favorite through October 12 at 11:59 p.m. ET, either online or through the QR code on participating packages. The winning flavor will be announced October 13 and return for a limited time in 2027.
There is also a little extra incentive: eligible voters are entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of Original Oreo cookies.
Banana Pudding feels like the safe crowd-pleaser. Deep Fried sounds dangerously snackable. Chicken & Waffles? That one we need to taste before filing charges.
