Oh yes, be still thy music hearts. Here we go: are you ready for a Fontaines D.C. x Rosalía collaboration? Because it is officially coming on the band’s fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber.

The track is called “Where Is Gone?”, and it lands at No. 8 on the newly revealed 11-song tracklist. Even better: Rosalía is not just another name on the credits — she is the first guest vocalist ever to appear on a Fontaines D.C. album. That alone makes this one a proper event.

Dopamine Chamber arrives October 16 via XL Recordings and was produced by James Ford. The album follows 2024’s Romance and pushes the band further into darker, stranger and more synthetic territory, with frontman Grian Chatten describing the record as a place where different mood-altering pieces of music are effectively tested on the listener.

Which makes Rosalía a fascinating fit. Her own catalog has never exactly respected genre borders, and Fontaines D.C. have spent the last few years stretching far beyond the guitar-band box people first put them in. “Where Is Gone?” feels less like a stunt pairing and more like two restless musical worlds finally crossing paths.

The full tracklist also includes lead single “Marianne”, plus “Six Shot Morning,” “Mimesis,” “Happy For You,” “Demolition,” “Tongue,” “One Man,” “You Miss Me,” “Japan” and “Intimate.” But yes, we already know which title our eyes went straight to.

And there is a little extra history baked into it: despite Grian Chatten previously speaking about wanting to work with Lana Del Rey, it is Rosalía who becomes the artist to officially break Fontaines D.C.’s no-guest-vocalist streak. Soon soon cannot come soon enough.
