Three INYIM Favorites Make the Women’s Field Hard to Ignore
Yes, Peso Pluma leads the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards field with 17 mentions. That is the big headline, and fair enough. But over here at INYIM, the angle pulling us in hardest is the women — specifically Young Miko, Rosalía and Becky G, three artists who continue to make some of the most impactful, personality-forward and forward-moving music anywhere on this list.
That is our read, to be clear. The nomination totals tell one story. The actual energy of the field tells another. And if you ask us, these three bring some of the most interesting perspective in the entire finalist roundup.

The 2026 Latin Billboard Race Is On
Peso Pluma may lead the nominations, but INYIM’s eyes are on the women making some of the field’s most impactful music. Start with the official finalists, then dig into a few of our favorites.

Young Miko lands among the finalists for Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Female, keeping her firmly in the mix as one of the women reshaping the sound and attitude of current Latin music. Becky G appears in Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Female and for Top Latin Pop Album of the Year with Baraja Bendita. Rosalía, meanwhile, shows up all over the place — Top Latin Album of the Year for LUX, Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Female, Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Solo and Top Latin Pop Album of the Year.
That range is exactly the point. Becky G keeps finding cleaner and sharper ways to thread pop through the Latin field. Young Miko continues to bring edge and identity without sounding like anybody else. Rosalía remains maddeningly hard to box in, which is usually where the fun starts anyway.
And yes, the broader race is still crowded. After Peso Pluma’s 17 mentions come Tito Double P with 15, Fuerza Regida with 12, Karol G with nine, Prince Royce with eight and Bad Bunny with seven. The 2026 field makes one thing pretty clear: Mexican music remains a major force, Latin pop is still feeding the mainstream, and the women on this ballot are supplying some of its most memorable work.
Peso Pluma’s name appears in major categories including Artist of the Year, Top Latin Album of the Year for DINASTÍA with Tito Double P, and Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, Solo. Four collaborations with Tito Double P — “daño,” “dopamina,” “chiclona” and “7-3” — help drive a big chunk of that total.
There is also a new wrinkle this year: for the first time, the awards add a Fan Favorite Artist category, giving the public a direct hand in one race. The finalists are Peso Pluma, Tito Double P, Fuerza Regida, Karol G and Prince Royce.
The awards themselves are based on performance across Billboard’s weekly charts during the eligibility period, using data that includes streaming, sales, radio and touring tracked by Billboard and Luminate. Thee ceremony airs live Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 8 p.m. ET / 7c on Telemundo and Peacock from the James L. Knight Center in Miami, with additional availability through Universo and the Telemundo app.
