Titan the Iguana Turned a Routine Pickup Into Reptile Mayhem

A routine FedEx pickup in Memphis turned into full reptile mayhem when a newly arrived iguana named Titan launched himself out of his shipping box and sent startled employees scrambling.
Owner Roderick Duncan had gone to collect his newest pet after Titan was shipped overnight. Employees were curious about the package marked “live animal” and asked Duncan to open it so they could make sure the iguana was okay.
They got their answer immediately.

The moment the box opened, Titan burst forward, jumped across the counter and disappeared toward a back room. Employees scattered in every direction, with one frightened worker slipping to the floor during the commotion.
Duncan later explained that he expected the animal to remain stiff and sluggish for a moment after shipping, as reptiles often do. Titan apparently had other plans and, in Duncan’s words, came out ready for “all the smoke.”
The escape was not staged for viral attention. Duncan happened to be recording the pickup through his Meta glasses and later released more of the footage after some viewers assumed the chaos had been planned.
Titan was safely captured, and no injuries to the iguana or the FedEx employees were reported. After his explosive introduction, Duncan said the hefty new arrival settled down at home and turned out to be surprisingly chill.
