Carden and Danson first became TV family on NBC’s The Good Place, where she played the endlessly resourceful not-a-robot Janet opposite Danson’s afterlife architect Michael. The series ran from 2016 to 2020, and the pair’s friendship clearly survived the finale just fine.
The podcast conversation starts somewhere wonderfully personal: D’Arcy’s grandmother had a crush on Ted Danson. From there, the two bounce through Carden’s early career, including years spent nannying while pursuing comedy and improv before television finally came calling.
