A tiny fawn, fast-moving floodwater, and one local rescue that understood the assignment.

Present-day developments: Mother Nature is out there taking out even her own, and this time the tiniest little deer needed a full emergency rescue moment.
In Madison Township, Indiana, a precious baby deer was swept downriver during wild flooding, turning a roadway water-rescue call into a full furry-fuzzy save-the-fawn operation.
According to reports, crews with the Madison Township Fire Department were responding to a flooded roadway call near the 13000 block of North Mann Road when firefighters heard the baby deer being carried by the fast-moving water.
From stranded roads to swept-away wildlife, flash flooding moves fast. A little prep, a little awareness, and the right gear can matter.

The original call reportedly involved a vehicle stranded in floodwater, but once the driver made it safely back to shore, the responders turned their attention to the tiny animal being dragged along by the current.
Capt. Joe Sinclair entered the muddy water in rescue gear and brought the fawn back to land, where medics cared for the baby deer before it was transferred to a local wildlife rescue.

It is one of those clips that instantly turns the internet into one big emotional puddle. The water is moving, the fawn is tiny, the situation is serious, and then the rescue lands with that little exhale of relief everyone needed.
Also, a gentle reminder from the universe: floodwater is not a cute background character. It is fast, unpredictable, and dangerous. If Mother Nature is moving like that, stay out of the water and let trained responders do what trained responders do.
