A Family Collaboration Made for Spooky Season
There is a family link behind the track, too: Thulani Kachingwe is Tinashe’s younger brother, and he handles production on the single while sharing songwriting credit with Tinashe and Jared Lee. The result lands somewhere between electronic funk, R&B and dance-pop without overcomplicating the assignment: make something that sounds like Halloween after dark.
And the song already has some proper spooky-season history. “Bring Out the Freaks” turned up in Netflix’s 2022 Halloween comedy The Curse of Bridge Hollow, making its seasonal credentials more than just lyrical window dressing. A track that literally asks for demons, nightmares and freaks coming alive was always going to find its way onto somebody’s October soundtrack.
