Queen of musique, Sophie Ellis-Bextor provided one of the only stellar things to come out this unfortunate horrible pandemic. Somethin since day one we've been happily obsessed with. Her ultra-popular underground IG Live "Kitchen Discos". The Covid-19 lockdown never sounded or looked more smashing and not to mention quite ethereal, Sophie has now decided to release one of thee songs from her set. Her electric version of thee legendary disco tune, Crying at the Discotheque.
She spilled on Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 show about thee project saying:
“I’m really excited to be putting out ‘Crying at the Discotheque’. I used to sing it sometimes when I was doing a club set, as I always loved the song, and since I sang it during the kitchen discos it forever holds a special place in my heart. I love this version. Such a great song and full of the imagery of the discos I always go to in my head when I’m singing."
Thee new greatest hits album is due on November 13th. It shall contain Bextor's infamous disco hits on one record for the very first time. Including juggernaut songs like, "Murder On The Dancefloor" "Take Me Home".
Without further ado. Off her upcoming new body of work, thee "Song From The Kitchen Disco" from the one and only Sophie Ellis Bextor second greatest hits album.
