Claire Rosinkranz Turns Lollapalooza Into One Big Pop-Rock Sugar Rush
Atten-hut, all you pop-rockers! We are marching right back to Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 for Claire Rosinkranz’s bright, bratty, guitar-laced Friday set at Grant Park.
Rosinkranz hit the Allianz Stage on July 31, taking the early-afternoon slot before Skye Newman, Suki Waterhouse and Not For Radio. It was exactly the kind of festival booking that makes sense for Claire: catchy enough to pull in passersby, scrappy enough to keep the guitars buzzing and packed with songs that sound built for shouting back at a stage.

The 22-year-old California singer-songwriter has spent the last several years stretching far beyond the viral “Backyard Boy” moment that first put her on everybody’s radar. By the time she reached Lolla this summer, her live show had enough catalog behind it to move from early favorites into newer material without losing that loose, slightly mischievous energy.
One of the newer songs in the set was “Rocket,” which she brought to Grant Park alongside deeper cuts and longtime fan favorites. The performance also landed during a very busy Lollapalooza Friday that included Charli XCX, The Smashing Pumpkins, Yungblud, Zara Larsson, Major Lazer and plenty more across the park.
Claire’s lane remains wonderfully hard to over-polish. The songs can be sweet, sarcastic, messy, romantic and just a little feral within the same few minutes — which is precisely why they tend to hit harder live than a tidy “bedroom pop” label suggests.
