2000s indie-rock deities Yeah Yeah Yeahs are opening the vault on one of their most intimate live eras.

Karen O, Nick Zinner and Brian Chase have unveiled Hidden In Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall, a new live collection built around the band’s 2025 Hidden In Pieces tour and its stripped-back reworking of songs from across their catalog.

The first version is already here: a 13-track digital edition recorded live at London’s Royal Albert Hall is streaming now through Secretly Canadian. Then on October 23, 2026, the release expands again with a deluxe digital edition plus vinyl and CD versions featuring additional performances from the band’s U.S. tour dates.

Hidden In Pieces turns Yeah Yeah Yeahs inside out

The point of this tour was never simply to replay the hits with fewer amps. Hidden In Pieces reworks the band’s catalog with acoustic guitars, strings, piano and double bass, letting songs that once arrived like a blast of electricity reveal completely different shapes.

The collection was arranged by music director, arranger and conductor Jherek Bischoff, with the Royal Albert Hall recordings capturing two nights in London during the band’s 25th-anniversary run.

That means familiar Yeah Yeah Yeahs standards are still here — “Maps,” “Gold Lion,” “Zero” and “Cheated Hearts” among them — but they sit beside deeper cuts including “Warrior,” “Skeletons,” “Runaway” and “Mars,” plus newer material like “Blacktop” and “Spitting Off the Edge of the World.”

The 13-track Royal Albert Hall album is streaming now

The current digital edition runs 13 tracks and comes from the Royal Albert Hall performances. It opens with “In Heaven” before moving through “Blacktop,” “Gold Lion,” the band’s reworking of Björk’s “Hyperballad,” “Cheated Hearts,” “Isis,” “Warrior,” “Skeletons,” “Runaway,” “Spitting Off the Edge of the World,” “Mars,” “Maps” and “Zero.”

It is less a traditional greatest-hits live album than a reminder that Yeah Yeah Yeahs songs can survive being dismantled. The hooks remain, the drama remains, Karen O remains Karen O — but the arrangements leave far more air around everything.

October brings the expanded 18-track edition on vinyl and CD

The physical edition arrives October 23 via Secretly Canadian alongside an expanded digital deluxe release. That version grows to 18 tracks, adding live recordings from San Diego, New York and Chicago to the original Royal Albert Hall set.

The bonus performances include “Y Control” and “Let Me Know” from San Diego, “Hysteric” from New York’s Beacon Theatre, “Despair” from the Chicago Theatre and “Little Shadows” from San Diego.

And for collectors moving fast: the band’s official store says the first 250 customers ordering the black double-vinyl edition will receive a 12-by-9.6-inch photograph shot by Rich Fury and signed by all three band members. The store is keeping the recipients a surprise.

The project also comes with a Hidden In Pieces concert film

The album is not arriving alone. Yeah Yeah Yeahs have also released a 22-minute black-and-white visual companion, Hidden In Pieces, directed by Barnaby Clay.

Unlike the live album, the film was recorded at Los Angeles’ historic Orpheum Theatre. It is streaming on the Criterion Channel and is also receiving select theatrical screenings, turning this whole era into something closer to a live-art document than the usual concert-album rollout.
