ZORA Hits the Gas and Turns “FASTLANE” Into a Video-Game Fever Dream
Song Choice of the Day: ZORA’s “FASTLANE” is exactly the kind of two-minute blast we like around here — loud, funny, cocky, hyperactive and fully committed to its own little universe.
Originally released in 2023 through Get Better Records, “FASTLANE” turns racing and video-game language into a playful diss track. ZORA has said the idea started while playing Mario Kart 8 with her sister Myia Thornton, using the whole fast-lane concept as a way to poke at personal baggage while keeping the record gleefully unserious.

The visual goes just as hard as the track. Zora Grey and Damon Neathan directed the video together and also share cinematography credit, while Zora handled the edit. The result riffs on racing games and the larger-than-life logic of video-game worlds without ever taking itself too seriously.
And because one or two images absolutely were not enough for this one, here is the rest of our favorite imagery pulled directly from the official video.
