The rain! The rain! It went down at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, but Team USA’s women weren’t fazed.

For the third straight world championships — and fourth consecutive global final — the U.S. women’s 4x100m relay team reigned supreme.

Sprinters Melissa Jefferson-Wooden (earning her third gold of these championships), TeeTee Terry, Kayla White, and Sha’Carri Richardson held off Jamaica to clinch gold. Anchoring the team, Richardson powered through the final leg, crossing the finish line in 41.75 seconds — ahead of Jamaica (Silver) and Germany (Bronze).
The dominance continues. And the monopoly of speed? Unshaken.
