Last week, we kicked off The Daily Show’s 30th-anniversary celebration with Ronny Chieng and Jordan Klepper. Now Josh Johnson and Grace Kuhlenschmidt are taking their turn behind the mic.
The latest “Thirty F#@king Years” episode finds the correspondents talking about what it means to work on a comedy show that plenty of viewers also treat as a source of actual news — plus the parts of the job they still enjoy most.
Then they head straight into the archives. Johnson and Kuhlenschmidt revisit classic bits from Lewis Black and Stephen Colbert, before turning the embarrassment dial toward themselves and watching some of their own earliest Daily Show pieces.
Thirty f**king years is a lot of television, and the fun here is watching two of the show’s newer voices react to the comedy that helped build the place they now work in — while remembering exactly what it felt like when they first had to step in front of those cameras themselves.
