A 1975 X-Men comic book fetched an impressive $170,000 at an auction. This marks the second-highest price ever paid for a 1970s comic edition.

Sources at ComicConnect recently finalized the purchase on “Giant-Size X-Men #1,” the only comic to ever score a near-perfect 9.9 from CGC (Pop Culture Collectibles Grading | Certified Guaranty.)

Huzzah and Hoorah to sir Stan Lee, creator of the whole she-bang. Gone but never-ever forgotten.
