Yes, Sally and Gillian Owens are back. Yes, the house still has that moonlit, midnight-margarita pull. And yes, the family curse is once again reaching for a new generation.
Warner Bros. describes the sequel as a return to a world of moonlit mischief and ancestral magic, with the Owens sisters forced to confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all.

Right around the corner, it is officially the season of the witch. Practical Magic 2 casts its spell in theaters on September 11, 2026, just in time for the fall-watchlist takeover.
The sequel also brings new faces to the spooky neighborhood, including Joey King, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, Lee Pace and Solly McLeod, with Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing returning to the Owens family magic.
Susanne Bier directs the sequel from a screenplay by Akiva Goldsman, Georgia Pritchett and Kelly Marcel, based on Alice Hoffman’s The Book of Magic. Bullock and Kidman also produce alongside Denise Di Novi.
