Reading 2026 closes with four performances still ringing out
Reading & Leeds 2026 has officially wrapped, but the final uploads are still landing — which means we are absolutely not done pressing replay. This year’s festival closed out a packed weekend with Florence + The Machine taking on Reading Sunday night, while Duke Dumont brought the dance-floor pulse earlier in the weekend.
And because the festival gods apparently wanted us properly fed, there is fresh extra footage from two of the weekend’s other heavyweight sets: Fontaines D.C. tearing into “I Love You” and RAYE bringing sisters Amma and Absolutely out for “Joy.” Four performances, four completely different moods, one very good excuse to stay planted in front of the speakers a little longer.

Fontaines D.C. Perform “I Love You” at Reading Festival 2026
Fontaines D.C. came into Reading with the kind of live reputation that makes a festival field feel almost too small for them. Their Friday headline set on The Grid pulled from across the band’s catalogue, with “I Love You” arriving near the end of the set before “Starburster.”
The track remains one of the great pressure points on Skinty Fia — hypnotic, furious and increasingly explosive the longer it goes. At Reading, it landed exactly where a song like this should: late in the set, with the emotional screws already tightened.

Duke Dumont Performs “Won’t Look Back” at Reading Festival 2026
Duke Dumont brought “Won’t Look Back” back where it belongs: in front of a massive festival crowd. More than a decade after the track first became one of his defining dance records, that piano-and-house rush still knows exactly what its job is.
Dumont was booked for both sides of the festival weekend — Leeds on August 28 and Reading on August 29 — and this Reading performance is pure hands-up business. No need to overthink it. Sometimes a giant dance record simply remains a giant dance record.

And then came Florence — in the rain, on a stage she had been dreaming about since she was a teenager.

Florence + The Machine’s Sunday appearance carried a little extra weight. It was the band’s first Reading performance since 2012 and their first time headlining the festival — a full-circle moment for Florence Welch, who has said Reading was the first festival she ever wanted to attend.
Opening with “Everybody Scream,” Florence arrived in exactly the dramatic, ritualistic mode the song demands. The Reading set also brought the Everybody Scream tour to a close, turning the title track into both an opening statement and one last festival-sized invocation.

But one more performance deserved its own victory lap — and this one came with family.
RAYE Performs “Joy” With Amma & Absolutely at Reading 2026
RAYE’s first Reading headline set was already a career marker. Then she made “Joy” a family affair, bringing out her sisters Amma and Absolutely for one of the warmest moments of the Saturday-night set.
The appearance fit the whole shape of RAYE’s show: full band, horns, strings and a catalogue that now lets her move between pop, soul, jazz and dance without asking permission from any one lane. “Joy” came late in the set, just before the closing “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!,” and the sight of all three sisters sharing the Reading stage gave the song an extra little jolt of exactly what its title promises.
