Three Models Meet the Streets, Stone and Restless Rhythm of Naples
Yassin Elbo, Misha Miagkov, and Maxim Onyščuk move through Naples in Napolitudine, an Icon France editorial photographed by Carmine Romano and created by Ilario Vilnius.
The title blends Naples with the Italian word solitudine, setting up a story shaped by both urban connection and personal distance. The three models share the city, but the photographs often hold them in their own private rhythm — looking outward, moving separately, or pausing against streets that seem to carry decades of memory.
Carmine Romano uses Naples as more than a decorative location. Worn stone, narrow streets, balconies, waterfront light, aging walls, and everyday public spaces give the editorial a lived-in texture that a controlled studio could not reproduce.
Yassin Elbo, Misha Miagkov, and Maxim Onyščuk each bring a different physical presence to the series. Together they create a shifting three-model dynamic, while the individual portraits allow each face, silhouette, and expression to stand apart.
The clothes move naturally through the environment rather than feeling separated from it. Relaxed layers, fluid trousers, open shirts, athletic references, soft tailoring, and weather-ready outerwear fit the city’s movement without turning the editorial into a literal travel wardrobe.
Grooming by Federica Di Dato keeps the finish understated, supporting the story’s unforced atmosphere. The models remain polished enough for the magazine while still appearing as though they belong to the streets, coastlines, and shifting daylight around them.
Created by Ilario Vilnius for Icon France No. 06, Napolitudine finds its strongest images where fashion and place stop competing. Naples supplies the history and texture; Yassin, Misha, and Maxim give it three contemporary faces.
