Michael Rider Keeps CELINE Polished While Letting The Edges Loosen

French luxury house CELINE has unveiled its Hiver 2026 campaign, continuing Michael Rider’s evolving vision for the house through a new series of images photographed by Zoë Ghertner.

Rather than chase some giant seasonal reinvention, Rider keeps working inside the CELINE vocabulary — polished tailoring, bourgeois polish, youthful ease and pieces that look better the less fuss is made about them. The result feels expensive, of course, but not embalmed in luxury.

Zoë Ghertner Gives CELINE Luxury Without The Hard Sell

Ghertner’s presence behind the camera is a natural fit for this version of CELINE. Her fashion work often favors intimacy over spectacle, allowing styling, attitude and texture to carry an image instead of burying everything beneath a giant campaign concept.

For Hiver 2026, that restraint works in Rider’s favor. The clothes remain unmistakably CELINE, but the campaign allows them to feel inhabited rather than displayed — luxury with some oxygen around it.

The Cast Brings Different Kinds Of CELINE Cool

The wider Hiver 2026 campaign cast includes Alaina Rae, Faith Johnson, Frej Larsen and Milo Flaviani, with Charles Levai and Kevin Tekinel credited on creative direction and Samuel Ellis Scheinman handling casting.

It is a useful mix for Rider’s CELINE because the house no longer needs one single archetype to sell the fantasy. The polish remains, but the casting gives it a little more range — less mannequin perfection, more personality.

Rider’s CELINE Is Starting To Feel Like Its Own Thing

That may be the most interesting part of CELINE right now. Rider inherited a house with several extremely recognizable eras sitting on top of one another, and his smartest move has been resisting the urge to erase any of them just to prove authorship.

Instead, he is slowly shifting the proportions, styling and attitude until the pieces start speaking in his cadence. Hiver 2026 feels like another step in that direction: familiar enough to register instantly as CELINE, but relaxed enough to suggest there is still plenty of room ahead.
