We are still laughing a full day later after watching Loretta Devine step into Miss Pat’s online cooking show, Whisk It All with Miss Pat. The OG diva arrived as a very special guest and immediately delivered the mayhem, side-eye and pure entertainment that producers dream about and talent appreciators live for.

Miss Pat introduces Devine as one of the original Dreamgirls, her The Miss Pat Show co-star Carol and a performer with more than 170 television credits. Devine responds by making it clear she cannot cook, does not intend to pretend otherwise and will absolutely question every decision made within arm’s reach.

KITCHEN CHAOS

Cook, Laugh And Question Everything

Watch Loretta Devine, Miss Pat and Danni Rose turn meatloaf and creamy roasted cabbage into nearly an hour of side-eye, readings and producer-dream comedy.

Chef and content creator Danni Rose joins the two women to guide them through individual meatloaves and roasted cabbage finished with spinach, bacon, butter and cream. That cabbage explanation alone nearly ends the lesson before it begins. Devine hears “cream” and “cabbage” in the same sentence and reacts like someone has proposed a felony.

Then comes the milk-soaked white bread used to keep the meatloaf moist. Loretta is not having that either. She questions the bread, the milk, the sugar, the amount of onion powder, the Worcestershire sauce and nearly every instruction Danni offers. Friendly trolling turns into a full kitchen reading while Miss Pat keeps adding fuel.

The episode has the same combustible energy as Patti LaBelle’s infamous aluminum-foil moment on The Tyra Banks Show, only stretched across an entire meal. Loretta questions the oven controls, insists people should cook with love, compares the soaked bread to a panty liner for beef and looks personally betrayed whenever another seasoning appears.

Miss Pat is no passive observer. She keeps poking, correcting and exposing Loretta’s disbelief, while Danni tries to teach through the noise. At one point, the women debate whether the meatloaves are shaped correctly, and the conversation flies so far away from a recipe demonstration that the food becomes almost secondary.

Yet the chaos works because the chemistry is real. Devine and Miss Pat already know how to bounce off one another from The Miss Pat Show, and Danni understands exactly when to teach, when to defend the recipe and when to let the two legends run loose. Nobody is trying to make the moment polished. That is precisely why it is so funny.

Devine also pauses the madness long enough to speak warmly about working on The Miss Pat Show. She describes the live audience as one that sings, dances, boos and cheers, explaining that the production built that Atlanta studio audience from scratch. The affection beneath the jokes is obvious—even when she is reading everybody within range.

By the time the meatloaves are shaped and the cabbage reaches its creamy finish, the episode has become less a cooking tutorial than a master class in letting three distinct personalities take over the room. The food may or may not inspire trust, but the entertainment is undeniable.

Think Patti LaBelle and the aluminum foil—but with meatloaf, creamy cabbage and enough side-eye activity to power an entire season. We promise: this is nearly an hour of chaos worth pressing play on.
