The series follows sisters Gertrude, Eugenia and Dee-Dee Porch alongside the mysterious Millicent Quibb, mixing mad science, strange creatures, family secrets and the kind of sideways humor you would expect from McKinnon. The first book became a #1 New York Times bestseller, with the series aimed at readers ages 8–12.

For the finale, the Porch sisters are headed to the almost-French city of ParisToo, where the evil KRA has another ridiculous world-domination plan waiting. Naturally, there are baguettes, berets, one very big bug and enough suspicious nonsense to make this feel properly McKinnon.

Fifteen Years From Idea to Final Book

That 15-year detail is the real story here. Before the books ever reached shelves, McKinnon had been carrying the idea around for years. Now the third installment closes the loop, which makes this less “celebrity writes a book” and more somebody finally getting a very odd little world out of her head and into readers’ hands.

The Jungle of Carabanana arrives September 29, 2026, bringing the bestselling series to its finale. And yes, McKinnon narrates the audiobook too, because of course she does.
