During a House Armed Services Committee hearing on March 25th, Rep. Hank Johnson, a Democrat Congressman, stated that he’s scraed if the military continues to send more personnel to Guam, the island could possibly flip over into the sea???
Admiral Willard, who was speaking on behalf of the military, doesn’t think that’s going to happen, because Guam is attached to the ocean’s floor?
Oh Congress, your suppose to be a large group of people that meet together with common interests or concerns… yeah you can throw that idea right out the window!
In a statement issued by Hank yesterday, he says that is was all in good humor! Hank said, “The subtle humor of this obviously metaphorical reference to a ship capsizing illustrated my concern about the impact of the planned military buildup on this small tropical island.”
