The main eight-stamp set runs through album covers from Duran Duran, Rio, Seven and the Ragged Tiger, Notorious, The Wedding Album, Astronaut, Paper Gods and Future Past. The separate four-stamp miniature sheet turns its attention to the band’s live history, drawing on the Careless Memories Tour, Astronaut Tour, Sing Blue Silver Tour and Invisible Tour.

From Birmingham New Romantics to First Class British Mail

Royal Mail says Duran Duran are only the ninth music band to receive a dedicated stamp issue, following The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Spice Girls, The Who and AC/DC. For a group that helped make the music video into an event and turned album sleeves, fashion and graphic design into part of the full Duran Duran universe, stamps built around the visuals actually make perfect sense.

The timing is especially neat. Their 1981 debut officially hits 45 this year, meaning the same band that once looked impossibly futuristic on MTV is now being entrusted with moving the Royal Mail. Somehow, that feels correct.

The stamps and collectible products are already available for pre-order, with general sale beginning September 17, 2026. Royal Mail’s presentation pack includes all 12 stamps, while collectors can also go considerably deeper with prestige books, first-day covers, framed sets and other limited-edition pieces.
