Duran Duran are an English band formed in Birmingham whose combination of new wave, disco, funk, art rock and ambitious music videos made them global pop icons. Emerging from the late-1970s Birmingham club scene, the group became central to the New Romantic era with songs including “Girls on Film,” “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio” and “The Reflex.” Later hits such as “A View to a Kill,” “Ordinary World” and “Come Undone” extended their career, and the band remains active with new recordings and touring.
