Chaka Khan is an American singer whose explosive voice has connected funk, R&B, soul, pop and jazz for more than five decades. A Chicago native, she first rose to prominence as the frontwoman of Rufus before launching a major solo career with “I’m Every Woman.” Songs including “Ain’t Nobody,” “Through the Fire” and “I Feel for You” helped establish her as one of modern R&B’s most influential vocalists and performers.
