ItsNotYouItMe Throwback features the musique king David Bowie’s unreleased 1969 ‘Mercury Demos’ to be unleased On Vinyl! Bowie’s 1969 demo tape, originally recorded to garner a record contract with Mercury Records, will be out for your ear-gasm consumption on June 28th.
The 10-tune vinyl set, features nine unreleased songs, such as early versions of Space Oddity numbers like “Janine,” “An Occasional Dream,” “Letter to Hermione” and “Space Oddity”.
The Mercury Demos also has covers of Roger Bunn’s “Life Is a Circus” and the Lesley Duncan-penned “Love Song,” which of course was made famous by equal legend Elton John. According to our reports: Pre-Space Oddity tracks like “Ching-a-Ling” and “Lover to the Dawn” are also included.
