Amy’s Camden Story Comes Full Circle for Back to Black at 20
A special concert honoring the 20th anniversary of Amy Winehouse’s iconic 2006 LP Back to Black is bringing her music back to Camden — and some of the people who helped shape the record are returning with it.
Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, the album’s original producers, will reunite with The Amy Winehouse Band for Back to Black 20, a one-night-only show at London’s Roundhouse on Wednesday, October 21. The band will perform the album in full, with its songs passed to a star-studded lineup of guest vocalists personally chosen for the celebration.
And this is not stopping at Camden. The concert is being recorded for a BBC Two broadcast in late October as the centerpiece of special programming celebrating Amy’s music and legacy, with BBC Radio 2 also set to air the show on October 26 during Jo Whiley’s program.

Jorja Smith, FLO, Yebba and More Take on Amy’s Songbook
The special guest vocalists include Baby Rose, Corinne Bailey Rae, FLO, Jessie Reyez, Jorja Smith, Lianne La Havas, Nia Smith, Sasha Keable, Skye Newman and Yebba, alongside writer and producer p*nut.
Ronson said the mission is simple: “Doing justice to the legacy of Back to Black is the order of the night.” Remi, meanwhile, said he is looking forward to hearing what the singers bring to songs that have now lived with listeners for two decades.
The show is also being led by Amy’s longtime musical director Dale Davis, with producers Paul O’Duffy and p*nut and former Island Records president Darcus Beese OBE joining Ronson and Remi behind the celebration.
The Roundhouse Makes This Homecoming Hit Even Harder
Camden was never just scenery in Amy’s story, and the Roundhouse carries a particularly heavy piece of it. The venue was the site of her final public appearance on July 20, 2011, when she joined her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield onstage during the iTunes Festival. Amy died three days later at her Camden home.
Fifteen years later, the room will fill again with the songs that made her a global force. Back to Black topped the UK albums chart, became the UK’s best-selling album of 2007 and has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide. At the 2008 Grammys, Winehouse won five awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album for Back to Black, while “Rehab” took Record and Song of the Year.
Back to Black Is Getting the Full 20th Anniversary Treatment
The concert arrives alongside a major 20th anniversary reissue due October 23, just days before the album’s original October 27, 2006 release anniversary. The expanded editions gather four previously unreleased demos, rare B-sides and additional demos, plus Amy’s February 8, 2007 performance at Amsterdam’s Paradiso released in full.
The packages also feature alternative artwork, Amy’s handwritten lyrics, never-before-seen photography by Mischa Richter and Alex Lake, and new liner notes from Ronson and Remi. Two decades later, Back to Black is not being treated like a museum piece — the musicians, singers, footage and archive are all being brought back into motion.
