Vid-Visuals of the Day: Fat Dog are back with a freshly released blast of thee very particular chaos that makes them Fat Dog.

“Call It What You Want” is a seething collision of post-punk fury and rave-ready synths, released as the fourth single from the South London seven-piece’s upcoming second album, Cancel Me (I’m Tired).

The track also landed as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record, but beneath all that velocity is something more personal. Frontman Joe Love has explained that the song comes from looking at problems within his own family and wondering whether the same patterns might eventually repeat themselves in his life.

That tension gives the song a nice little extra bite: existential dread, but make it rave.

The accompanying official music video was filmed at Woofstock, the band’s outdoor pop-up show in Bermondsey that drew roughly 500 fans. In other words, they did not bother pretending this needed a pristine soundstage. They put the song where it belongs: in the middle of a sweaty, unpredictable Fat Dog crowd.

Also: do not miss thee cutie musicians working the violin and bass amid all the commotion. Fat Dog can make a room feel like it is about to come apart at the bolts while still sneaking in the kind of instrumentation that makes you look twice.

Cancel Me (I’m Tired) arrives October 2, 2026 via Domino. The 10-track record follows 2024’s WOOF. and pushes the band’s already unruly sound through electro-pop, rave, psychedelia, rock ’n’ roll and even some cowboy-flavored detours.
