Performance Choice of the Day: Paloma Morphy brings “(NO) TE QUIERO PERDER” to Bershka Music and lands somewhere deliciously between indie pop, new wave shimmer and a groove that refuses to sit still.

Super duper groovy with an indie, new wave, indie-pop sound. Morphy is one of the most promising new voices in Mexican pop — and she already has the hardware to prove the momentum is real. The Mexico City singer-songwriter won Best New Artist at the 2025 Latin GRAMMYs after building her profile with a run of emotionally direct, left-of-center pop and her debut album Au.

Released on September 24, 2026, “(NO) TE QUIERO PERDER” was created specifically for the Bershka Music collaboration. Paloma wrote and co-produced the track, with Pablo Stipicic also handling production, programming, guitar, recording and mixing duties. The result fits right into Morphy’s increasingly hard-to-box world: personal without turning precious, polished without sanding away the odd little edges.

The timing is especially good. Morphy’s 2025 debut Au helped establish her as a new alternative-pop force out of Mexico, and the Latin Recording Academy followed with the Best New Artist win that same year. Now Bershka Music catches her in the next chapter rather than simply replaying the breakthrough.

There is also more on the way: Morphy has a new album, Morphy’s, expected later this year, with live dates continuing to expand outside Mexico. So “(NO) TE QUIERO PERDER” feels less like a one-off fashion-brand detour and more like another little clue to where her pop is heading next.

It is exactly the kind of Performance Choice we like around here: a song with enough polish to glide, enough personality to catch, and a performer who already sounds like she knows precisely which lane she does not want to stay inside.
