The beloved 1998 coven classic returns with its original cast, a new curse‑breaking chapter, and the first teaser now unveiled.

Finally — the witches are back. A film so many of us grew up on in the 90s is officially returning for a long‑awaited sequel: Practical Magic 2. And yes, the OGs are all here. Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Dianne Wiest, and Stockard Channing are reuniting to bring the Owens family magic back to the big screen.
Warner Bros first unveiled the project last week at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, sending fans into a nostalgic frenzy. The original 1998 romantic‑fantasy flick became a cult underground favorite — a coven‑coded comfort movie that blended sisterhood, spells, heartbreak, and humor into something timeless.
The sequel arrives September 11th, marking nearly three decades since sisters Sally (Bullock) and Gilly (Kidman) first battled the centuries‑old family curse that doomed any man who dared fall in love with them. Now, the Owens women return to confront new magic, old wounds, and the legacy that’s followed them for generations.
And in a perfect wink to the past, the teaser once again leans into Harry Nilsson’s iconic, catchy tune “Coconut.” Some things are simply meant to stay.
