After battling stage four cancer, his wife, Brigitte Poublon, announced his death, noting his bravery and grace in his final days, according to USA Today.

Sherman was a prominent teen idol in the 1960s and 70s, known for his roles in the TV series “Here Come the Brides” and his bubblegum pop hits like “Little Woman” and “Julie, Do Ya Love Me”.

After leaving show business, he became a certified EMT and LAPD officer, demonstrating a commitment to public service.
