Dance, dance, dance… to this tune that is simply groovy from the ground up.

Oh kiddas, do what we do best — indulge and be happy.

The best obsessions with musique are my only kind of favorite affairs, and INYIM fav Paul Weller always seems to know how to tap directly into that feeling. His tune “No Tears To Cry” is a beautiful little rush of Northern Soul spirit, the kind of track that practically nudges you toward the dance floor before you even realize it.

The song appears on Weller’s 2010 album Wake Up the Nation, a record where the Modfather let loose with short, punchy songs that bounce between rock, soul, and flashes of experimental energy. “No Tears To Cry” fits right into that world, clocking in quick and tight while delivering a rhythm that feels built for movement.

You can hear Weller tipping his hat to the Northern Soul dance culture that helped shape generations of British music fans — upbeat, soulful, and packed with a groove that refuses to sit still.

It’s smooth. It’s soulful. And it’s exactly the kind of tune that reminds us why Paul Weller still knows how to move a room.
