We Had No Idea This Existed, But Wow — These Brothers Are Flying

U.S. brothers Yaroslav and Vsevolod “Seva” Ossolodkov just swept every men’s pair title at the 2026 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships — and yes, we had the same reaction watching this that some of you probably will: We had no idea this existed, but wow!
The Beaumont, California-based brothers left Pesaro, Italy with gold in combined, balance and dynamic, becoming the first U.S. athletes ever to sweep every title in their division at an Acrobatic World Championships. Their combined victory came with a score of 29.620, followed by a 29.750 to win balance and a 28.860 in dynamic.

So What Exactly Is Acrobatic Gymnastics?

Think gymnastics, partner acrobatics and choreography all happening on the same floor. Acrobatic gymnastics is performed in pairs, trios or groups rather than as a solo apparatus event, with the athletes using each other as bases, platforms and, occasionally, launch systems. Routines are set to music and mix tumbling and dance with balances, lifts, throws, catches and some truly absurd-looking feats of trust.
In men’s pair competition, the partnership performs three different routines. Balance is the strength-and-control side of the sport: static holds, handstands, flexibility and positions where one gymnast may be balancing on the other. Dynamic is where things start flying — throws, somersaults, twists, catches and landings. Combined asks the pair to put both worlds into one routine.
And unlike artistic gymnastics, there are no rings, parallel bars or vaults involved here. The routines happen on a 12-by-12-meter spring floor, with the partnership itself becoming the apparatus.
Who Are Yaroslav and Vsevolod Ossolodkov?

The Ossolodkovs are brothers who train out of Incentive – AGT in Beaumont, California. Seva is 20 and Yaroslav is 15. Both brothers were born in Kazakhstan, and their family moved to Beaumont in mid-2016, when Seva was about 10 and Yaroslav about 5. Acrobatics runs through the family: their parents, Konstantin and Natalya, are their coaches and later opened Incentive – AGT in 2023. Seva and Yaroslav became U.S. citizens in 2023, clearing the way for them to represent the country internationally. The family has returned to Kazakhstan only once in the decade since, with Seva telling Gymnastics Now that what they miss most is the family they still have there.
And if the brothers look familiar, there is a reason. In August 2025, they competed on America’s Got Talent Season 20 as the Osso Brothers. Vsevolod was 19 and Yaroslav 14 at the time, and their hand-balancing audition put the same mix of strength, precision and sibling trust they use in elite acrobatic gymnastics in front of a national TV audience. The official AGT video introduced them as brothers originally from Kazakhstan and now living in California — a year before their historic senior World Championship sweep.

Their World Championship takeover did not exactly come out of nowhere. The pair entered Pesaro as the 2026 World Cup Series champions after also sweeping the men’s pair competition at the 2026 USA Gymnastics Championships. It was their first senior World Championships, but they had already won the junior world all-around title in 2024.
So when USA Gymnastics says this was historic, it really was. American men’s pairs had won world titles before — Angel Felix and Braiden McDougall took combined and dynamic gold in 2022 — but no U.S. pair had ever won combined, balance and dynamic at the same World Championships.
Three Finals, Three Golds

The brothers first converted top qualifying positions into gold in both combined and balance. In combined, they finished ahead of Kazakhstan and Belarus; in balance, their 29.750 score put them nearly a full point clear of Kazakhstan.
Then came dynamic. The Ossolodkovs scored 28.860 to beat Kazakhstan’s 28.480 and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s 28.120, completing the three-event sweep and making them the first U.S. athletes to win every title available to their division at the meet.
The U.S. had more to celebrate in Pesaro too. Sydney Padios and Willow Noble won bronze in women’s pair combined and dynamic, while Juli Williams, Carmelle Djoumgoue and Aubrie Cunningham took silver in women’s group combined. Team USA finished the senior championships with six medals, matching its national record from 2022.
