Pop-alt dynamo Tove Lo has entered a new era — and naturally, Kyle MacLachlan wants to know what she is even doing.
The Swedish singer-songwriter and DJ joins MacLachlan on his What Are We Even Doing? podcast fresh off the release of “I’m Your Girl Right?” and ahead of her sixth studio album, Estrus, due September 18, 2026.

Tove Lo Says Estrus Is Full of Questions, Not Answers
MacLachlan steers the conversation through Tove’s creative process and the mindset behind Estrus, an album she describes as moving through a lot of emotions without forcing everything into a neat conclusion.
That fits a songwriter whose best work has rarely been interested in sanding down the complicated parts. Tove’s music has always been comfortable living somewhere between liberation and emotional chaos, and this new era appears to be leaning directly into that tension.

The Estrus Tour Starts Before the Album Even Arrives
Tove also tells MacLachlan that she is heading out across North America in September, beginning in Nashville before Estrus is officially released.
That means some fans will hear unreleased material live before they have the studio versions memorized — something Tove says is unusual for her and gives her a chance to see which songs audiences react to naturally.
