Two Pop Queens Turned WorldPride Into a Full-Circle Confession
We are in pop-royalty overload. Madonna and Kylie Minogue reunited onstage in Amsterdam, joining forces for “Love Sensation” during Madonna’s Club Confessions appearance at the World Pride Music Festival.
The surprise moment unfolded Saturday, August 1, at AFAS Live, where Madonna appeared as a special guest alongside longtime collaborator Stuart Price and DJ-producer Honey Dijon. Then Kylie entered the confession booth, and suddenly one stage was carrying more pop history than most award shows manage in an entire evening.

“Love Sensation” appears on Madonna’s 2026 album Confessions II, the Stuart Price-produced continuation of her 2005 dance-floor opus Confessions on a Dance Floor. The song is pure connection-by-way-of-club-music, making Kylie’s arrival feel less like a random guest spot and more like the track finding the only duet partner fabulous enough for the assignment.
This was only the second time Madonna and Kylie had performed together publicly. Their first onstage pairing finally happened in March 2024 during Madonna’s Celebration Tour stop at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, where they shared “I Will Survive” and “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” After decades of fan wish lists, two appearances in two years practically counts as a residency.
The Amsterdam reunion also landed inside a much larger celebration. WorldPride Amsterdam runs from July 25 through August 8, with the city hosting the global event for the first time. August 1 brought the Canal Parade through Amsterdam before the nighttime festival shifted the energy indoors at AFAS Live.
Madonna’s Confessions II promotional run has been built around surprise appearances, club culture and the idea that dance music can create its own kind of community. Bringing Kylie into “Love Sensation” at WorldPride did not simply add another famous face. It connected two artists whose careers have repeatedly treated the dance floor as a place for reinvention, survival and release.

Madonna and Kylie have spent years being positioned as parallel pop institutions, occasionally compared and constantly requested in the same frame. Amsterdam gave the audience something better than another hypothetical collaboration: both women together, inside a new Madonna song, celebrating Pride in a city built around the freedom to show up exactly as you are.
