Mariah sat down with Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden at the new Apple Music Studios in Culver City, California, near our Miracle Mile headquarters. This special live broadcast celebrated the 10th anniversary of the streaming service.
Discussion on “Type Dangerous”
During the interview, the trio briefly chatted about her latest single, “Type Dangerous”. Mariah shared:
“I’m trying not to tell too much about the new album. ‘It’s a special occasion/ Mimi’s emancipation’ — that’s a lyric from one of my songs.”
Upcoming Album Details
Mariah hinted at what’s next:
“What is next? The album coming out. I don’t wanna tell too much about it because I just don’t want to reveal the whole thing. It’s finished.”
She revealed that the album will feature 11 or 12 songs, including some classic Mariah ballads. A second single is also on the way:
“We got some Mariah ballads. A second single is coming soon. I’m very excited about it. It’s very summery. I like the beat as well.”
