Cem Kurttekin Brings Quiet Heat to Sergio Maiis’ MMSCENE Frames

Fresh faced model Cem Kurttekin steps in front of photographer Sergio Maiis for MMSCENE Magazine, bringing the kind of clean, self-assured presence that makes an editorial feel effortless instead of overworked.
Kurttekin was scouted through Instagram before beginning his modeling career in Istanbul, and the momentum has already carried him into campaigns for Les Benjamins, Lowlights Studio and Vicinity. He has also walked the Galatasaray jersey launch show at the club’s stadium, while editorial work remains one of the parts of modeling he is most drawn to.

Maiis keeps the focus where it belongs: on Kurttekin’s face, posture and ability to shift the mood without turning every frame into a performance. There is a polished directness to the series, but enough ease in the posing to keep it from feeling too precious.

That physical control makes sense away from the camera too. Kurttekin has a long connection to sport and fitness, including several years of competitive football, and still counts training, running and snowboarding among the things that keep him moving. He is also studying at university while imagining a future business built around fitness, creativity and community.
His growing international footprint now includes representation with PRM Agency in London and Two Management Barcelona, while the original INYIM post also credited Eylem The Casting Killer and Crew Model Management. It is the kind of multi-market setup that gives a new face room to move between commercial work and the editorial lane he clearly enjoys.
And that is what lands here. Kurttekin does not need a pile of tricks to register. Across Maiis’ photographs, the expression, proportions and composure do most of the talking — exactly what you want when the assignment is introducing a face worth remembering.

It is an easy introduction to a model with plenty of room still ahead of him. For now, Maiis’ series catches Kurttekin exactly where a Fresh Faced Model feature should: comfortable in front of the lens, already developing a point of view and ready for the next frame.
