COME THRU VOCALS — Daily Vocal Discoveries from INYIM Media

Come Thru Vocals is a long-running It’s Not You It’s Me Media series spotlighting standout vocal performances, emerging artists and new songs worth adding to your rotation. Curated by the INYIM music desk, many selections later appear in the Musique Dig’s Weekly Playlist and enter rotation on INYIM Radio.
Today’s Come Thru Vocals pairs ps goner and “drive away” with Ramaj Eroc and “I’m Getting Old.” One song wants to get in the car and leave the whole mess behind; the other looks adulthood dead in the knees and laughs. Two very different Monday moods, both built around vocals that sound like somebody actually lived the words.

ps goner
Tune: drive away
ps goner is the new project from Peter Sagar, better known for HOMESHAKE, but “drive away” heads somewhere dustier and more worn-in. The song opens his 2026 album there’s an atm inside, a cassette-recorded pivot toward alt-country textures, while the writing turns one miserable day into a simple urge to get behind the wheel and disappear. The restraint is exactly what sells it.

Ramaj Eroc
Tune: I’m Getting Old
Ramaj Eroc turns “I’m Getting Old” into grown-folk comedy with something real underneath it. The Chicago-bred, Los Angeles-based rapper runs through aching backs, noisy knees, disappearing slang and suddenly being somebody’s “unc,” but the joke keeps opening into gratitude for simply getting to grow older. It’s funny, conversational and way too relatable.
