Evelyn Champagne King

Evelyn “Champagne” King is an American R&B, soul and disco singer whose 1977 breakthrough “Shame” launched a run of dance-floor and R&B staples including “I’m in Love” and “Love Come Down.” Born in the Bronx and raised in Philadelphia, King has remained active across five decades and continues to perform and release music.
